Doug Wilson / Consultant

Doug Wilson has a proven history of successful management and the promotion of continuous process improvement initiatives.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master of Science in Management degree with a concentration in Organizational Leadership and Change from Colorado Technical University.  Additionally, he holds a LEAN/Six Sigma Certification from Southwestern University and a LEAN/Six Sigma Black Belt Certification with the USAF.  His skills as a problem solver were evident as the recipient of the prestigious United States Air Force Chief of Staff Team Excellence Award.

Doug’s early management skills were developed through 20+ honorable years serving his country with the United States Air Force.  His early involvement with continuous process improvement started with the Department of Defense implementation of Total Quality Management initiatives at an enterprise level.  He was instrumental in the evolved Air Force Smart Operations for the 21st Century office focusing on LEAN, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, and Business Process Reengineering methodologies.

His career in management spans over 15 years developing and improving organizations and people allowing them to be more efficient and effective.  His work includes:

  • Design of Strategic Alignment and Development strategies for company leadership providing strategic “roadmaps” to meet and exceed organizational goals
  • Facilitated numerous Kaizen Events resulting in real savings and cost avoidance in excess of $1.5M
  • Lead coach in developing team dynamics and building organic capability through developed comprehensive training program
  • Led multiple projects promoting replication of savings through thorough analysis and reporting
  • Served as focal point for all continuous process improvement initiatives for 4,000+ personnel organization

Doug is an expert at streamlining operations and increasing efficiency through organizational problem solving resulting in improvements in quality, cost, delivery, and service in an organization.  This is all accomplished through his focus is developing a company’s greatest resource…it’s people.
